| NORTH AMERICANS TURN TO NET FOR JOBS |

More than 28 percent of North Americans are using the Internet to find work, a new survey says.
Cars Group International the recruiting arm for Job Shop Depot, found that productivity, Relevance of Job listings and speed are the most important considerations in using online job search services.
The survey, conducted for Cars Group International by Mail Survey's LLC,was conducted in early April.
The survey reported that 81 percent of respondents felt that use of an on-line job listing service made their job search more productive,and that the relevance of job listing was the key motivator behind the use of on-line tools.Relevance was described as including information about the employer,category and level of experience.
Three quarters (75 percent) of respondents also said that speed of an on -line job search engine is an important factor as well as information and complete services help in deciding which job-listing service to use.
"The results are not surprising", Cars Group International President Joseph Martin said. Rather,they validate the fact that job seekers are looking for real value and a job site that will meet their career and services needs long term. The poll was based on a randomly selected sample of 3,000 adult Americans and is considered accurate to within plus or minus 3.1 percentage points,19 times out of 20. |
