| COACHING ISN'T JUST FOR SPORTS |
 |
Many Fortune 500 exectives have one, small business owners have one, and those looking for new jobs and careers have one.
Tiger Woods has one, Pete Sampras has one,so why not you. It's a coach ----the person who many turn to advise, counsel and a plan for their lives.
Just what coaches do has been the most difficult thing to communicate. So we will give it a try:
*Make important business, career or personal decisions
*Explore career growth issues
*Access current career position
*Work to bring balance to their life
*Develop key skills
*Take inventory of their client's current situation
*Clarify Future direction.
A good coach listens intently, probes through provocating questioning,is ruthlessly focused on action and results and brings years of experience-"street smarts"-to the coaching relationship. We rely on our training and experience to provide guidance, recommendations and critique.
It's different than mentoring, where a person with a great deal of experience is in a advisory role.A coach is responsible for being a sounding board and feedback agent to help the client continually make progress toward desired outcomes and results.
Is a coach right for you-and are you "coachable"? If you answer yes to five or more of the following questions, the answer is likely yes:
1.Do you know what you don't know? Some level of this understanding is imperative for a the Cars Group International team to be able to help.
2.do you feel a gap between where you are today in your career or life in general, and where you want to be?If you can picture the situation you would like to be in,but don't know how to get there,we may be for you.
3.Do you have clear professional goals?
4.Are you unhappy in your profession, and don't have a clue what to do next?
5.Are you committed on focusing on the present,or do you need a clear up linger iaaues from the past?If you are present -thinking-forward,you are are a candidate for our coaching. If the past is haunting you,see a therapist before a coach.
6.Are you interested and committed to developing yourself? There is no point ---for us and you ----entering a coaching engagement if the commitment isn't there.
7.Is there a critical decision pertaining to your life or your career looming in the future? We refer to this as a crossroad. We can help you navigate;no one works well and makes the right decisions in isolation.
8.Are you ambitious and not content where you are? The desire to be as good as one can be,and not too proud to admit that one can improve ,is imperative.
9 Getting the message-it's time for you to change? it's definitely time to get help-and change before it's to late.
10. Are you willing to work hard at growing, developing, leading and reaching youe goals ? Let us let you in on a secret----if you hem or haw over this question, it's best you do not work with us---the commitment just isn't there.
"I never cease to be amazed at the power of the coaching process to draw out the skills or talant that was previously hidden within an inividual, and invariably finds a way to solve a problem previously thought unsolvable, "Joe Martin"President and COO,Cars Group International.
These are 10 critical questions. Again,if you answer yes to more than five, our coaching is right for you. Fewer than five, and you are likely not ready to fully benfit from a coaching relationship. |
